Our celebrations continue with two more awards recognising the success of our fabulous family of colleagues. We are hugely proud to have been acknowledged as the Best Destination Garden Centre in the North West in the latest Garden Centre Association audit and also recognised as the UK’s Best Garden Centre in this year’s Houseware Awards.
The Garden Centre Association (GCA) comprises 200 of the country’s leading garden centres and its strict annual inspection programme helps us, as members to achieve the very best standards. It is these qualities that have been recognised at Bents, and following the annual inspection resulted in our team once again being presented with this prestigious title.

Like all member centres, we received a spot visit by GCA auditors with no prior knowledge of the exact date and recorded one of the top scores in the country, which not only saw us awarded Best Destination Garden Centre in the North West but also the regional titles for:
- Sustainability
- Outdoor Living
- GIMA, Garden Products Retailer
- Catering Excellence
- Creativity & Innovation
- And runners up in both the Customer Service and Indoor Lifestyle categories.
We will now be re-audited to determine the national title of Best Destination Garden Centre in the UK; an accolade we currently hold and hope to retain in 2024.
And in what is proving to be a very good year we have also been successful in this year’s Housewares Awards, taking the title of Best Garden Centre. These awards, which are run by trade publication, Housewares Magazine, recognise excellence in both retailers and suppliers of houseware products and are another acknowledgment of the hard work and commitment shown by our fantastic team of colleagues.
