Outdoor Events & Festival Favourites

Summer is here and it’s time for outdoor events and music festivals. From the fields of Kendal Calling to the extensive grounds of Tatton Park, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Whatever you’ve got planned, whether it’s a music festival, a spot of garden theatre or a classical concert in the grounds of Gawsworth Hall, it’s time to get prepared.

Picnic in style

Bents is a great place to start as we think we’ve got most things covered. Starting with everything you need for the perfect picnic. Cool bags, picnic rugs, plates, outdoor wine glasses, jugs, lanterns and candles, we’ve got all the important elements you’ll need for a daytime event or an evening under the stars.

Food is also on the agenda with a host of delights to be found on the shelves of our Food Hall. How about creating a delicious ploughman’s spread with a range of local cheeses, pickles, crackers and crisps. Or fresh bread with dipping sauces, meat and olives for a more continental feel to your picnic.

And to wash the food down…we’ve got drinks to suit all palettes from local ales and fine wines from Reserve Wines, to delicious soft drinks and traditional cordials.

Dress for the occasion

It’s not just the picnics, we’ve got clothing covered as well. Wellies, wellie socks, rain ponchos, sun hats, as well as a range of clothing, jewellery and scarves to complete the festival feel! One of our favourites this summer is the fabulous bee range from Joules with wellies, hats and ponchos all featuring this lovely little creature which, like music, is a celebration of all things Manchester!

Spend the night

And for the more serious festival goers our Trespass|Nevisport store has everything you need to get comfortable for a few nights. From tents and sleeping bags to folding chairs and portable stoves, you can find pretty much everything for your festival kit all under one roof. And whilst packing for your adventure don’t overlook items such as a blanket to snuggle under as the night falls and the music plays, and a torch to guide you back to your pitch. A rucksack is a must-have item for transporting all your items whilst a bum bag is a great choice for carrying all those little essentials, such as sunglasses, sun cream and hand sanitiser around the arena.

Whilst we can help kit you out for your outdoor events, we can’t control the weather…although there hasn’t been much to complain about this year and a bit of rain never spoilt a good festival anyway!
