Bents named as Retailer of the Year

We’re celebrating!  Bents has been named as Retailer of the Year at the 2018 DIY Week Awards.

Now in their 8^th year the DIY Week Awards recognise excellence across the breadth of our vibrant industry, from forward-thinking companies to innovative products and inspirational people. And this year Bents has cause for celebration after being presented with the award for Retailer of the Year.

The very best from across the DIY, home improvement and garden markets recently gathered at London’s Park Plaza Victoria Hotel for an exclusive drinks reception and luncheon, which served as an opportunity for guests to catch up and network with industry friends and colleagues before British comedy talent Marcus Brigstocke got the proceedings underway.

The luncheon not only served as an opportunity to recognise excellence and innovation across the sector, but also a chance to give something back. A collection was made on behalf of The Rainy Day Trust, with generous guests helping to raise much-needed funds for the UK’s only charity supporting the home improvement workforce and their families in times of need. The total amount raised will be announced on the DIY Week Awards website shortly.

The DIY Week award comes in the same year that Bents was presented with the Garden Centre Association’s award for Best Destination Garden Centre in the UK, marking a celebratory start to 2018.

These awards are a fantastic recognition of all the hard work and commitment shown by our colleagues who help make Bents the place it is.  And whilst we enjoy celebrating such success with these awards, they also provide a benchmark for us to work from and make sure the Bents experience continues to surprise and delight our customers.
