We’re delighted to share some exciting news…Bents has won a major national award having been named winner of the Garden Centre Association’s (GCA) Worrall Cup; an award which recognises the UK garden centre, which was judged to have had the strongest marketing campaign in 2025.
This award recognises marketing that not only captures attention, but delivers meaningful results through creativity, innovation and customer engagement. To have our work recognised in this way is a huge achievement - and one we’re incredibly proud to share with our team, our community, and everyone who supported the campaign.
The award was presented to Bents’ for the highly successful marketing of our immersive light trail, Alice in the Hidden Garden, which attracted visitors from across the region and beyond. Inspired by the classic tale, the event provided a magical evening experience and proved a highlight of our year.
Huge Team Effort - and a Proud Moment for Bents
Winning the Worrall Cup is a proud moment for everyone at Bents as it is one of the GCA’s most respected accolades. Alice in the Hidden Garden brought together creativity, operational planning, customer experience and marketing - and showcased what’s possible when a whole team works towards one shared vision.
Most importantly, we’d like to say a huge thank you to every visitor who joined us. Your support helped make Alice in the Hidden Garden such a success - and we’re delighted it has now been recognised as an award-winning initiative.
Looking Ahead
Following the success of Alice in the Hidden Garden, we’re excited to share that the light trail will return in 2026 with a brand-new theme - building on the strong foundations established this Christmas and continuing our commitment to delivering innovative, experience-led events for our customers.

At the same GCA event, Bents was also named as one of only ten Garden Centres of Excellence in the UK, placing us among the very best garden centres in the country. Another fantastic achievement and one we’re very proud of.
